For my undergraduate Computer Engineering senior capstone project, a team of two others and myself created a hardware system for digitally converting DSD-encoded SACDs to common PCM-encoded CD-R in real-time. While the project resulted in a conversion with noticeable degradation due to damage to components in the orignal SACD player, the results were recognizable as the original music.
